Most people understand that mobile is a must but have no idea where to start (it’s not build it and they will come, I hate when people assume there will be a pull to their product).
I recommend you:
- Start by having a simple mobile friendly landing page that has basic info about your company and maybe a hook (social follows, fun images, etc..), then
- Integrate into your customer development process learning how your target audience, or existing customers, use their current mobile devices.
First: understand who uses mobile devices.
Second: understand how customers use mobile.
Third: ask questions, do trial runs.
